THE DOORS

 Among the most controversila rock acts of the 60s, this american rock band was formed in 1965 in  Los Angeles, California, with vocalist Jim Morrison , keyboardist Ray Manzarek, drummer John Densmore, and guitarist Robby Krieger. The band took its name from The Doors of perception , book of Aldous Huxley, the title of which was a reference to the famous quotation of William Blake  "When the doors of perception are cleansed, things will appear to man as they truly are...infinite."
After Morrison's death in 1971, the remaining members continued as a trio until finally disbanding in 1973.

OTIS REDDING

Called also the King of Soul , Otis Ray Redding, Jr. ( 9September  1941 – 10 December  1967) was an American soul singer, he gave us a music that transmutated gospel and blues into a kind of funky
In 1967 Landau a rock critic said Otis is rock and roll

Redding died in a plane crash at the age of 26, one month before his biggest hit, " sitting on the dock of the bay" was released.
